Last night was the CRAZIEST Friday night EVER!
It started after last night's blog post.
Autumn and I got dropped off at Middle School (that is what I decided to call my school), I was wearing a nice shirt, some dark jeans, and my barely clean high tops. (I just decided to draw the picture as me wearing a tie.)
Autumn looked like a million bucks (Autumn would kill me if I said otherwise). She wore a beautiful black dress with a cute netted leggings and designer flats. (I just decided to draw the picture as Autumn wearing her normal outfit, but with a bigger dress.)
We walked to the M.U. Room (Multi-Use) and saw Mr. Walker, our math teacher, holding a sucker and a fat clipboard with an iPad on it in front of the M.U. Room entrance with the doors open, but with streamers.
He walked up to Autumn.
"For you, Ms. Bergman."
Autumn just stared at the Tootsie-Pop as if it came from outer space. "Thank You."
He turned to me like he was disappointed.
"Your 2 dollars, Blake?"
I pulled out the 5 dollar-bill, that Mom gave me, and handed it to Mr. Walker.
"Thank you Blake, have fun."
We walked in.
We haven't made 5 feet into the dance without 3 of Autumn's friends running to us, shrieking.
"You wore a dress!" One of Autumn's friends yelled.
"I know! I never wear dresses!" Autumn replied.
I walked away from them, uncomfortably, to the dance floor.
Imagine a dark, big room with lights and fun with over 100 kids dancing. That was the M.U. room. (I drew this picture in case you wanted to see the M.U. Room, but with the lights on and the fun off.)
I was bumping into 8th graders, looking for my best friend Alexandria (Alex for short).
After 20 minutes, I gave up looking for my friends. I walked to the wall and just stood there. Watching the fun while I was being a wallflower.
Suddenly, the colored lights turned off and everyone was standing in total darkness.
After 5 seconds, the lights came back on, but instead of colors, they were pink hearts.
All of a sudden, the pop music turned into slow, loving music while the boys and girls were slow-dancing.
I was going to laugh. This all seemed ridiculous, but I still watched.
Suddenly, I hear a voice:
"You should be like those people."
I turned and saw my principal, Ms. Lancaster.
"Well I-"
"Don't give me that 'Well I...' stuff." Ms. Lancaster said, "Let me show you how to slow dance."
Before I could say anything, my principal put my hands on her hips and her hands on my shoulders.
I suddenly realized something:
My first slow dance was with my principal.
I turned purple with embarrassment while Ms. Lancaster was having the time of her life.
We danced in circles forever, I was ready to crawl in a hole and die until my principal said to find a girl.
I took my hands off her hips and I felt super dizzy.
I stumbled to the door that led to the Quad, where my whole life was going to turn upside down.
I finally found my friends and we talked for a while, until this girl yelled "SOMEBODY PLEASE TIE MY SHOES?!!" in a distance.
"OKAY!! I'LL BE RIGHT THERE!" I yelled back.
Don't ask why I volunteered to tie her shoes.
I walked to the girl and totally lost my mind.
She was the most prettiest girl in the whole world.
"Here I am!" I pointed out.
"Great! My feet are right here." She said while pointing to her shoes.
I did what she asked me to.
When I finished, she said something that I never been questioned before:
"Thanks! Now you can dance with me!"
I replied with the most logical response anyone in this situation could have said:
She lead me to the dance floor in the middle of a slow song and we danced (thanks to Ms. Lancaster's help).
It felt nice to have someone finally not kill me.
Do I have a new crush? I don't know.
The only thing I know is that I had my first slow dance.
UPDATE: That girl that I slow-danced with is now ignoring me. Man, it's like, you have a friend then he/she hates you all of a sudden for no reason.
Tell me, why are girls so complicated?
